Growing Baby Girl
I had a follow-up ultrasound today and the tech helped to alleviate most of my concerns. When I had left the hospital last week they had me convinced my baby girl was starving and withering away by the minute. I thought for sure she would have to be delivered by the way they talked and I went home in tears and prayed.
All I want is a healthy baby. I want her to thrive and grow. I was expecting today's visit to be bad but it turned out good. I saw the doctor first and she talked a little more about my bed rest. She told me that I'm on bed rest until I deliver. Partly because of my preterm labor risk and partly because the baby will grow better if I take it easy.
After the doctor visit I had my ultrasound. The tech told me my baby was growing and in the 39th percentile (I had been told she was in the 25th at the hospital). Her stomach however was in the 20th but she said it would not be a concern until it reaches the tenth or less. She said part of it is none of my babies have been average size. My biggest was Xander at 7lbs 3 oz. and my smallest was Inara at 6lbs 1 oz. (granted she was born almost 4 weeks early). She said the average baby is 7 and a half to eight lbs and none of my kids have ever even reached average not even the ones born days to their due date.
The tech also checked the cord flow and said it looked great. She said sometimes back flow can occur and that would mean immediate delivery but my baby's cord doesn't even have the warning signs of this and looks perfect. They think there is no reason she can't stay in until full term. This was great news seeing as I was praying she'd make it to 30 weeks.
The baby was pretty cute during her ultrasound. She had both hands and feet by her face and was scrunched in a little ball. The tech got a good picture of her open hand and commented on how long her fingers were. The tech said she'll be a piano player for sure. Here's my 26 week belly shot. Photo taken by Landon.
Isaac brought me home a present tonight just because he loves me. It was a willow tree figurine. The description reads "Home. Together Our Family is Home." I love it and thought it was so sweet of him. He's a good guy.
Poor Ronan has had sinus junk for two weeks now. His nurse has been following him and said she just started hearing it slightly in his chest today. Now tonight I really hear it in his chest despite breathing treatments. But the worse thing is his poor little nose. It is the sorest nose I've ever seen. I've been following exactly what the nurse has told me but it is still so sore. Looks like a doctor visit is in order for tomorrow.
Also in Ronan news he finally got his medical alert bracelet. It has hypoglycemia and asthma on it. His doctor also wanted adrenal insufficiency on it but there was no room so I may have to get him another one.
I have to show another Xander lego creation. He always designs these himself. This one is a giant lego car. He's a very creative kid. I look for him to possibly be an engineer or architect someday.

Valentine Box
I captured some cute pictures today so I thought I'd post some pictures and talk about them.
Grandma and Grandpa Fullmer sent a box for Valentines Day. It actually arrived on Valentines day but somehow we missed its delivery and I didn't find it until after the kids were asleep when Grandma called to ask if we received it.
The kids were pretty excited to wake up to all the treats. There were chocolates, stickers, pencils, lollipops and more but the thing they all zoomed in on first was the bubble wrap. Landon exclaimed "Grandma sent us a box of bubble wrap!" It was as though that had been all the box contained.
Once they got over the excitement of plastic bubble popping they looked through the treats and wanted to consume them all on the spot. Moderation. This became the lesson of the day.
Ronan thinks it's funny to sit in Inara's eating chair because it makes her so mad. He saw her in the kitchen today and ran to sit in her chair. The only problem was that the tray was on it. This was the result.
I stumbled across this scene tonight and thought it was adorable. Landon was reading Inara a story. After a little while Ronan joined them. It was really cute watching him read to his two babies. He's very proud of himself that he can really read now.
You may often hear the expression "My children were climbing the walls today." When it comes to Xander it is not just an expression. He climbs walls daily. I will turn around and there goes Xander up another wall. I should have known there was a reason he's always loved Spiderman.
Inara is taking after Jadzia in the area of dance. She hasn't developed her sister's obsession with tutus yet but she loves to twirl. She also laughs as she dance and sings wordless songs as she spins.
Lastly pictures of the kids together. This is the beautiful chaos that is my life.

Bed Rest
I'm on bed rest. The doctor is worried about preterm labor so I am on Procardia which is a medication to stop contractions but it also lowers blood pressure. My blood pressure is fine so it has a risk of making it really low and it makes me tired. This is one reason for the bed rest. The doctor told me to be a couch potato. I'm finding that hard.
Since I've been on bed rest I don't have much in the way of events. Isaac and I celebrated Valentine's Day since my doctor called me into the office. On the way home from my appointment Isaac took me for a nice Valentine's Day lunch. The doctor mainly wanted to make sure I wasn't dilating further. She said if I was I'd be admitted to the hospital. My next ultrasound is scheduled for Friday and then they will decide based on that when the next one should be scheduled.
Inara is 20 months now. I really can't believe she is so close to two. She talks very well now and tries more and more to do everything on her own. I of course had to do a 20 month photo shoot.
Ronan had a milestone. He learned to climb out of his bed. I'm proud that he is getting stronger and figured this new trick out. But I am dismayed at his new ability to escape in the middle of the night. We have basically created a safe area around his bed and cut off access to everywhere else.
Well as always here are pictures of the kids.
