Eggstravaganza

Here is the second blog post I mentioned in the previous one.  It's taken me a few days to get to it.  On Saturday the kids attended the eggstravaganza at our local mall.

There was supposed to be an egg hunt but it didn't involve any eggs.  I thought it was silly that they advertised an egg hunt only to find the hunt eggless.  Instead they just went to various stores and got punches.  When they returned to the main area they got a small thing of a few chocolates. It turned out to be almost more work getting the punches than the reward was worth.

They did get to see the Easter bunny and some reptiles from the reptile rescue center.

There were free train rides so the kids rode twice.
More on Xander's lego building skills.  He decided to start making blue prints for the lego contraptions he builds.  This was the blue print for a house.
He then put his plan into action and built it out of legos.
He got more elaborate later and added another story.
Apparently this is how Landon sees me right now. I had a good laugh over it anyway and he thought he was pretty clever.
Here are some extra pics.

Wrapping Up Landon's Birthday and an Adrenal test

I really shouldn't be shocked about how many pictures I have piled up if I wait too long to make a blog post.  I take pictures for everything as anyone who knows me well enough knows.  I think I'm dividing recent events and pictures into two blog posts just to make it a little easier and broken up.  Someday I will print all my blog posts and compile them into a book for my kids to have in the future.

We wrapped up Landon's birthday with a day out.  We used up some of the game cards we had left from his party and then he got to spend his free Barnes and Noble treat coupon on a cookie.

We also celebrated his birthday with more family on Tuesday night.  It was also my brother's 30th birthday so they celebrated together.

A big event around here for the girls was the Lalaloopsy movie television premiere.  Jadzia and Inara had to bring all their Lalas down to watch the movie with them.  Thanks to the generosity of family and friends they have built quite the collection.
Ronan had his Adrenal gland test to see if he still has adrenal insufficiency.  They gave me numbing cream to put on before the procedure so his IV wouldn't hurt.  We had to wrap his arms with Saran wrap so the cream would stay on he wasn't too happy about this idea.  The test showed his adrenal gland is still not fully functioning so he has to have the test repeated in 3 months.

Other than the adrenal test and a one night visit to the ER for tube bleeding Ronan has been able to avoid medical procedures since his long hospital stay and he is thriving at home.

I think this is it for this blog post.  I have more to blog about but I'll make a separate post.  For now here are some extra pics.
