And This is How the Week Went

Let's see, where were we when we left off last? Yes, there was a side note on trying to go organic, but the last time I left an update Ronan was in the hospital. That was a week ago. The next day (Monday) his eye was pretty much back to normal thanks to the high dose antibiotics. He was sent home on a strict regimen of more antibiotics.

Ronan had been a bear at the hospital. When he wasn't sleeping he was screaming and thrashing around. I'm pretty sure the fact they had to stick him five times for his IV and that they let an entourage of student doctors pester him repeatedly were the negative sources of his attitude. As soon as we got home he was happy, loving Ronan again.
That night Inara's eye began to look eerily similar to how Ronan's had when his orbital cellulitis began. In the picture above she's not winking, that was as far as she could open her eye. I took her in right away to see the doctor and we were able to take care of it with regular antibiotics. The big kids had been at my in-laws during Ronan's hospital stay. I got a call saying the kids were complaining of ear pain, all except Landon who was complaining about abdominal pain. Xander and Jadzia both had nasty ear infections. Landon was given a battery of tests and they ruled he was fine. Since they were all sick and we were out of the hospital my mother in-law brought them home the next day.Landon was struck with severe ear pain on Wednesday. I have never seen him so distressed. He would hold his ears and just cry. He spiked a fever and I took him in to the doctor. The doctor let me see the inside of his ear and it was blood red. His other ear was no better and his throat was about the same. Three medications later Landon was feeling a little better but spent the rest of the day on the couch.
On Thursday Landon was completely better and I took him with me to get some errands done. Xander had won the rock, paper , scissors tournament which meant he should have been my errand partner but he forfeited to Landon. I'm not sure the exact reason but Landon wasn't complaining.Jadzia has done well through the week. She's been busy with Princess and ballerina duties (much harder work than you might imagine).
Inara made a good attempt at stealing Jadzia's princess glory.Ronan got a hair cut because he was starting to grow a near perfect mullet.Friday was uneventful. The below event was the biggest tragedy of the day.
Mommy averted the crisis and nap time was saved.

On Saturday this face won the prize of the day.
My mom needed pictures for a project she's putting together for my grandparents. They are coming out next week. I'm really excited to see them and haven't seen them for a year. My grandpa will be 87 this year and I count it a blessing that my babies can spend time with their great grandparents. My brother brought his kiddos over yesterday (Saturday) for the shoot.I will reiterate past comments on small child picture taking. It is a near impossibility to get seven children under seven to all cooperate at the exact same time to capture the perfect picture. The chaos almost brings character to the shots.
My mom had two wishes. One Ronan would be wearing his glasses and two that all the kids would be looking at the camera. Of course Ronan decided he would use picture time to ensue a battle over gear wearing.

Over all we sifted through the dozens of shots and found a few diamonds. After enduring the whole ordeal I'm nearly shocked I captured what I did.

Well that's the weekly update on the Fullmer's. I decided if nothing else I might give a weekly update but I'm making no rules on this blog. This blog will be left open to change and whatever I feel like. It feels kind of nice to throw out all the rules.
