Party for a Princess

Today we celebrated Jadzia's 4th birthday even though her birthday isn't until the 25th. We had family arrive and wanted to include them in the celebration. The Morning was jammed full and Jadzia's party was scheduled for noon.
The first event was Ronan's in home Speech and hearing teacher. They had their first joint session. Ronan was not wanting to participate and kicked all the toys away. Inara felt she should do everything for him. I think the biggest thing with Ronan is that he doesn't like being told what to do. I've seen his therapists work really hard to get him to put a ball down a ramp and he'll refuse. As soon as they aren't looking he will do exactly what they wanted.

His excitement for the day was the Elmo phone my Aunt Becky bought him. Inara kept stealing it from him despite his excessive protest.
As soon as therapy was over Inara and I dashed to her 15 month check up. She enjoyed reading in the waiting room in her own little chair. She got three shots but handled them as well as could be expected. She is 30in. and 20lbs 12 oz. This puts her in the 20 percentile for weight and the 30th for height. Her head however is in the 75th percentile, right where it always has been. Her and I stopped at the store to get some last minute party items. We made it home just as the guests were arriving.

Lucky for me my Mom and mother in-law fixed lunch and got everything else ready. The party was a Lalaloopsy theme. No one that knows Jadzia would have guessed that one. I made her cake. When Jadzia saw it she said "Its beautiful! You are the best Mommy in the whole wide world." It's moments like that that make 4 am cake decorating worth it.

Jadzia opened presents next and specifically wanted her Daddy to help her open them. She was excited about every present she got. She was given a ton of Lalaloopsy dolls. She now has a super sized Lalaloopsy collection. I took some pictures of her with all her dolls and then I got a picture of Jadzia and her cousin Hannah on the steps with all their dolls. Hannah has a really good start to Lalaloopsy collection so between the two of them they looked like they were in a doll store.

The festivities ended and the big kids went back with my in-laws. They were taking the older ones so I could focus on Ronan when he has his reflux surgery on Friday. My grandparents and Aunt were still here. We spent the rest of the time with them playing games. Mid-Yahtzee I got a phone call telling me Landon had touched his Grandparents' Chimenea. He burned his left hand pretty bad and in a large area. They were taking him to their local ER.

The Er decided to send him up to a burn center about 45 minutes away. The burn center determined he just had second degree burns and sent him home with a special cream and bandages.

My Grandparents and Aunt headed over to my brother's (where they are staying). They are leaving from there in the morning so we said our goodbyes tonight. I will miss them but very grateful we had this time to visit with them.
