5 in 5: Bring on the Blessings Blessings Round #2: Merry Christmas

The evening has dimmed on yet another Christmas. My five beautiful children are currently exploring all the new toys they received this morning. Landon is enjoying his new cars chair and Xander his Toy Story one. Jadzia received a unicorn blanket and pillow pet that she has stated were her favorite gifts. As for Ronan he's been enjoying his slinky and also stealing Xander's chair when Xander isn't looking. Inara pretty much liked every present given to everybody.

Inara discovered how to unwrap presents and how fun it could be. She liked it so much that she was convinced all the wrapping paper within the trash bag really had presents buried inside. She was disappointed when I wouldn't let her tear all the trash out of the bag and just kept yelling "Present! Present!"

I think all I would have had to buy Ronan was a chair and a slinky. Those seemed to be the only presents to truly spark an interest, those and the car ramp he received from the ER yesterday. Yes, that's right he was in the ER on Christmas Eve for over 10 hours. He was having sugar lows but when I would put juice in his tube his sugar would drop but when he would drink it by mouth his sugar would go up. His doctor was concerned the tube might be in the wrong spot.

We took him in and they confirmed the tube was in the right spot but are thinking his new formula may not be right. We were there so long because they were seeing if his sugar would drop if fed the formula. The first try it went to 61 but if it had been below 50 he would have been admitted. The second attempt it dropped but climbed back up so we were sent home. They gave him a cute car ramp as a present and he really liked it.

His doctor told me if his sugar drops below 50 again after taking the new formula to call her and we would try and figure something out. I don't think the formula is any better than the pediasure and it also gives him tummy troubles every time he has any.

Since the majority of mine, Isaac's and Ronan's Christmas Eve was spent in the ER my parents took the rest of the kids over to my brother's house. I did at least get to spend the morning with all the kids and watched them open presents from my parents.

On Christmas the kids opened all their presents from Isaac and I. For breakfast we had pancakes. The rest of the day was spent relaxing and opening all the toys. Tonight is focused on clean up as for the afternoon we all took naps and even I got a nap in.

All in all we had a good Christmas with a little bump in the road. Tomorrow starts a new week and you never know what it will bring. And now the Christmas highlights for reach kid. Oldest to youngest.

Landon loved his cars umbrella and said he can't wait for it to rain now.

As You can tell from the pictures below he was pretty impressed with his monster truck that flips in the air.

He and Xander also got Transformer walkie talkies (Landon chose Starscream and Xander Optmus Prime). It took them a little while to realize you had to hold the button down the entire time you are talking but they have it down now.

Xander loves gorllas and abominable snowmen. When he visited Ronan at the hospital he saw an abominable snowman in the gift shop and told me it was all he wanted for Christmas. I went the next day and bought it for him. He was thrilled when he unwrapped it this morning. To also go with the abominable theme my parents gave him abominable snowman slippers. He now thinks he needs an entire costume.

He also liked his toy jet, remote control fire truck and all his other presents.

Jadzia is the child that loves whatever you give her. No matter what present it is she get an excited look on her face and says "This is exactly what I wanted!!!" I love her gratefulness and enthusiasm.

She really liked her unicorn happy napper and unicorn blanket. They went with the unicorn slippers my parents gave her and the purple unicorn pillow pet she already has.
